Veteran group therapy brings together those who understand — without explanation — what military service costs. Led by clinicians trained in trauma and PTSD, delivered via PSYPACT telehealth so you do not have to leave your state to attend.
Why Group Works for Veterans
Peer connection is one of the strongest evidence-based protective factors against veteran PTSD. The isolation that follows service — the sense of being permanently separated from those who were not there — is itself a wound that individual therapy cannot fully address. Group therapy creates the conditions for that connection: structured, clinician-guided, focused on specific PTSD skills and experiences, and composed entirely of those who carry the same kind of history.
Dr. Floresu2019 veteran groups are not open-ended processing groups. They are structured, skill-focused programs that combine regulation tools, moral injury processing, identity work, and peer connection — delivered in the mission-oriented language of service culture rather than the therapeutic vocabulary of civilian mental health.
